Shanghai, China – April 28, 2009 — S2C Inc., a leading total solution provider in facilitating systems to chip innovations, today announced the second annual SoCIP event, the premier silicon intellectual properties (IP) Seminar and Exhibition in China. SoCIP 2009 closely follows suit with the inaugural success of SoCIP 2008, which attracted more than 200 systems-on-chips (SoC) professionals from various parts of China last year. SoCIP 2009 will continue to emphasize the introduction of the latest silicon IP products into China with this year's theme on "how Silicon IP core can raise the international competitive edge of China's integrated circuits (IC) industry." Some of the participating vendors for this year's event are CAST, eASIC, EE Solutions, Northwest Logic, S2C, Tensilica, IPextreme and Transwitch. The event will be held in Shanghai on June 9th and Beijing on June 11th.
Despite the ongoing global financial crisis, China continues to generate strong interest around the globe due to its fast-growing consumer electronic market. Chinese designers are improving their products to meet not only the domestic market but also to meet the global demand for lower-cost electronic products. Silicon IP will play a significant role in upgrading Chinese companies' capabilities to design differentiated SoC at lower costs and thereby raise its international competitive edge in the global electronics market. SoCIP 2009 aims to be the platform for silicon IP vendors to showcase their latest technology and to understand the needs of the Chinese marketplace in depth. At the same time, SoCIP 2009 seeks to be the bridge between world-class IP vendors and IP buyers in China.
SoCIP 2009 promises to be larger, more informative, and more fun. At SoCIP 2008, attendees enjoyed entertainment programs such as belly dancing and a prize raffle. S2C, the organizer, is not revealing much about the surprises planned for SoCIP 2009, but promises it to be a show to be remembered – not just for its IP technologies but also for the entertainment value that makes the event unique. EE Times China is returning as the appointed official media for SoCIP 2009 enabling international vendors to gain great exposure and to build brand names in IC design industry in China. "We believe in building SoCIP 2009 into a high quality IP show in China and no effort is spared to make the whole event more memorable for both exhibitors and attendees," said Lawrence Liang, China Sales Director of S2C.
Unlike other shows of similar nature, SoCIP seminar attendees must pre-register and be subsequently subject to approval by a selection committee before being invited to this premier silicon IP event. "Our efforts are to ensure SoCIP to be a first-class event for SoC design professionals in China. Therefore, we sincerely invite those who are interested to register early at SoCIP's official website to reserve your spot be on the edge of the latest developments in Silicon IP and SoC design technologies," said Toshio Nakama, CEO of S2C.
Founded and headquartered in San Jose, California, S2C is the leading total solution provider in facilitating systems to chip innovations. S2C has four solutions for system-on-chip (SoC) development:
S2C's value proposition is our highly qualified engineering team and customer-focused sales force that understands our customers' commercial needs in SoC development. S2C's unique FPGA-based electronic system level (ESL) solution, using our patented TAI IP technology, enables designers employ silicon IP to quickly assemble SoC prototypes on FPGA easily and securely, thereby enabling customers to start software development, typically the long pole item in development schedules, immediately. Combining rapid prototyping methodologies with a comprehensive portfolio of silicon IP and advanced design solutions, S2C can reduce the SoC design cycle by up to nine months.
S2C currently has 3 direct offices located in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen to meet the demand for accelerated SoC design activities in China. S2C is also the organizer of the annual SoCIP seminar and exhibition in China, which brings SoC designers/professionals from the Asia-Pacific region together with international silicon IP and SoC solution vendors.
